This week, we participated in an intensive 16-hour course on the use of hyperspectral imaging equipment from the Specim (LabScanner, FX10 and FX17). The training took place at the Department of Physical Chemistry of the Faculty of Sciences in Ourense and was aimed at providing the necessary knowledge to operate the equipment with precision.
The training is part of the project Authenticity of Seeds, Flours, and Powder/Texturized Products from Cereals, Legumes, and Nuts with Hyperspectral Imaging and Machine Learning Methods from Ministerio de Ciencia, Imnovación y Universidades.
During the course, we learned how to capture and analyze spectral images to assess the authenticity and quality of food products, combining advanced image processing techniques with artificial intelligence tools.
Thanks to this training, we now have a solid foundation to apply these technologies in our project, ensuring more accurate and reliable results.
